James Young is President of Matrix Systems. He has lead Matrix since 2003, when he took responsibility of the privately-owned business.
As President, Young is the senior executive of the Company and also is responsible for managing the Company’s marketing operations. Prior to Matrix, Young founded and lead a successful electronics firm that specialized in rechargeable battery solutions.

Dave Schellin, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer
Dave Schellin is Matrix Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Joining the company in 2007, Schellin provides overall strategic leadership and is responsible for all sales, technical and other internal operations.
Prior to Matrix, Schellin has held executive positions in leading firms in the software, IT services, retail, manufacturing, and insurance industries. He has an extensive background in accounting, finance, business planning, administration, IT, and general business operations. He has been instrumental in growing revenues and in implementing cost-saving and process efficiencies for many firms.

Walter Helms, Chief Technology Officer
Walter Helms serves as Chief Technology Officer at Matrix Systems. In his current position, Helms is responsible for all software development, including migration to new platforms, and for supervising all ongoing technical customer support.
Helms has more than 25 years of product development experience, including 18 in a management capacity. Helms previously worked at Cintech, a software development company that provides computer- telephony products. He also supervised all product development activities for 16 years at Cincinnati Time, a manufacturer of time and attendance and access control software systems.

Ron Kandcer, Vice President - Sales
Ron Kandcer is Matrix Vice President of Sales. He provides market strategies and business development throughout North America for Matrix access control products.
Kandcer brings more than 22 years of industry experience to his role at Matrix. He has held positions on all sides of the security industry as an end-user, dealer, and manufacturer. He served as director of commercial sales for wireless manufacturer Onity, a division of UTC Fire and Security; integrated systems representative for security provider, Honeywell Building Solutions; and life safety and electronic security manager for Caesars Entertainment Corp. in Las Vegas.

Joe Hiett, Sr. Director, Customer Services
Joe Hiett is Senior Director of Customer Services. He is responsible for applications engineering, customer service, IT, and product training.
Hiett has been employed with Matrix Systems for over 18 years, serving in systems engineering and management roles. Hiett started at Matrix as a software developer with the Time and Attendance product line. In 2004, he switched his focus to management and operations with the access control product line. Prior to Matrix, Hiett was employed by SofTech as a Software Engineer where he developed avionics software used in Navy aircraft.
