Hardware

  BC: Building Controller

Matrix Building Controllers are CPUs used as area level controllers providing an additional layer of database redundancy unique to Matrix Frontier system architecture.
Features:

Reliability
The BC is at the center of Frontier architecture, the second of three layers of Frontier database redundancy. The BC communicates with the Frontier server as well as to the intelligent access control and/or alarm monitoring devices directly connected to the BC. The device will control access to secured areas in the event of loss of network connectivity or server failure.

Rapid Response
At the center of Matrix access control system, the BC determines access to defined portals according to access privileges defined for that particular card number in less than 1 second. All activity received by the BC from the Matrix devices will be automatically written to the BC history file and uploaded real-time to the Frontier server.

Flexibility
The BC is configured to meet your requirements and can be configured to support 16, 32, 64, or 128 portals that provide “In” and “Out” control.

Assurance
Data encryption communication between the BC and the Matrix devices (e.g., RCM – Reader Control Module, MS-125 Alarm Card) is available eliminating the need for external data encryption devices.
